This series "Lost in paradise" is directly inspired by Friedrich Schiller’s poem "RÉSIGNATION."

And I too was born in Arcadia!
and on my cradle nature had promised me happiness too; and I too was born in Arcadia!
but my quick spring gave me only tears.
Simplification....
Lost in paradise or lost paradise!
She is a young woman in a bathing suit, lost in a field, in a wilderness.
She lost her childhood as an adult.
Lost in paradise or lost paradise. Where’s the beach?

Santoni Patrick is a visual artist who lives and works in France. He made his debut in Street Art during his studies at the Beaux Arts. From the very beginning his work was controversial, as time went by, the aesthetics became more simplified and tended towards advertising posters. Like Gerhard Richter, the artist constantly questions his work.

In 2010 he took a new direction in landscape research with photographic support. His landscapes always have that note of protest that characterizes the artist, they reveal an ideological commitment, a societal drift, sometimes underlined by the title, they are often linked to the hopes born in childhood shattered by the disillusionment of adulthood. His work is now present in many private collections in the United States (New York, Miami, Texas, Los Angeles) and Europe (France, Italy, United Kingdom, Sweden) and in a public collection, in 2004 one of his works on paper entered the collection of the "National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts" in Taipei, Taiwan.
