"When you walk along the banks of the Loire in the morning in summer, there is a calm and serene atmosphere that inspired me. The colors are soft, I only used the brush for this painting. The sand plays a major part in the proportions, because I wanted the spectator to be an integral part of the landscape, to have the impression that he or she is entering the canvas. This painting was made on the banks of Montsoreau, a village between Tours and Saumur." - Véronique Fièvre

Véronique Fièvre lives near Tours. The Loire, which she frequents every day, is for her an endless source of inspiration: calm or agitated, always changing, marked by floods or discovering its sandbanks, capturing all the daylight and reflecting the sky. It is with a keen eye that Véronique Fièvre offers us a journey into a natural universe, with soft and peaceful colours, conducive to calm and inner peace. His painting is lively, spontaneous, contrasting: we find both mineral matter placed on the canvas in an energetic way with a knife work by flat areas, and fluidity, when the painting is placed gently, with a brush. Looking at his paintings, one quickly feels sucked into the canvas, immersed in the colours, invaded by a warm and enveloping atmosphere. His paintings are an intermission, a silence, a pause in a world that continues to move ever faster.
