Rolf Saint-Agnès

Whether it represents the Mona Lisa, a daring Paris or the statue of freedom, the work of the painter Rolf Saint-Agnès clearly announces the colors: those of Pop Art and his Holy Trinity Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Keith Haring.
New York ? Paris ? For what ? The French capital, Rolf Saint-Agnès was born there in 1969 from a French father and a Swedish mother. The American metropolis, at 20, he settled there. For a decade, he made big apple his adoption city and pop art his artistic religion.
Accustomed to the great outdoors, Rolf Saint-Agnès lives in the Tarn, where the air feeds its grain of madness with the power of the wind of Autan. It was the same that Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec breathed. His workshop opening on the pigmented hills of the Southwest has become his headquarters. From there, he shines all over the place, exhibits in New York, Paris, Stockholm but also in Aix-en-Provence and in his region, in Toulouse, Albi and Bordeaux.
Over the years and his travels around the world, the artist's brush has been singularized. If pop art always permeates his art, he does not alienate a very assertive personality. We could compare his work to the vessel of the Argonauts. Constantly frightened, the ship no longer kept a single original board but remained like itself.
