This confirmed professional artist, well known to art lovers, has worked alongside the capital’s prestigious galleries and salons, such as the salons of French Artists at the Grand Palais or the national salons of the Armies at the Senate Orangery... but also many Toulouse and regional salons and galleries. Creator and animator of a "arts déco" section within the framework of the E.C. of a large national company, he perfected his skills by inviting teachers and final year students of the Toulouse fine arts to his group for several years, in order to exchange ideas on art and advice on painting and its techniques. With a large creative period of more than 30 years, this site offers expressive works from his first season and his more recent, contemporary works, with this permanent evolution, both through his treatise and his subjects of inspiration. On the Akoun side, on the I-CAC side, referenced Drouot and Artprice and present in many private collections in Europe: (Netherlands, Belgium, England, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Sweden ...France) An atypical and original artist, where the figurative takes on a particular dimension combining the drawing line, artistic considerations, the richness of the materials and the subtle vibration of the colours. We discover the architectural destructuring of its villages, highlighted by line outlines and its sensual daughters who expose themselves as in the "Red light district" of Amsterdam. His canvases, placed end to end, tell the story of life, and the independent spirit and emotional rhythm of his works testify to his creative strength and the intellectual value that symbolizes painting in general. A self-taught contemporary artist, Claude Géan, through his initial training oriented towards "research", has never ceased to discover new effects of "materials" that reinforce the line of a drawing that is often very academic but sometimes freer and more spontaneous guided by the unconscious... While diversifying, he has never left the field of art, as technical director in his advertising agency, he practices computer-aided drawing and screen printing on all media in turn. His works painted in oil, are according to the subject or the purpose, realized on wooden frames covered with cotton or jute, always in the studio and preferably in artificial light, the painting is his writing, from which emerges an emotion that expresses his complex temperament, at the same time idealistic, independent, pragmatic but not without deep fantasies.
