Born in Bordeaux in 1971, Remy Margariti grew up in the southwest. It is between the Landes and the Arcachon basin that it will evolve for more than 30 years. His basic artistic knowledge will be made later, in Parisian museums, marked by the great exhibitions of these last years: Hopper, Lichtenstein, Gauguin, Emile Bernard, Zonders, Keith Haring, Hergé... After a few years spent in Paris, he settled permanently in Bordeaux in 2018. Remy Margariti starts with a pop art style very inspired by the great classics of the 60s then evolves towards more figurative, often personal subjects, the Arcachon basin, the ocean, surfing. His painting is rather rigorous, coloured or monochrome, realistic. He created to feel free and to share that freedom. With a certain sense of image, aesthetics, the mixes, colors, contrasts and framing are done intuitively. He paints with acrylic on canvas, wood, cardboard.
