"The desire is old, the approach more recent. Envy is the admiration of painters, De Stael, Sérusier, Dufy, Picasso of course, the Orientalists too, and many others, like Hockney, or the naive painters whom I admire very much. The desire is the paintings of Toffoli, very present on the resort of Saint jean de Monts. The desire comes from travels, photographs, framing, fabulous observation points that are for the photographer, the terraces of cafés, comedors, sodas. After years of amateur photography and observation of "people of the world", the approach is to show what photographs do not "bring back", when emotion has shown itself just after the click, with frustration. The desire and the approach display the emotions of these moments on walls, on a support more "visible" than the photo album closed on itself. Try to move and show the colours of the world as I see them; beauty is in the street, let’s show it. That’s what acrylic paint is for." Pascal Milcendeau
