Born in 1963 in Nîmes, of Andalusian father and mother, Marie-Rose Borrego has always loved drawing. There was nothing for her to paint. It is in 2014 that she started painting, attracted since her childhood by colour.
His overflowing creativity has since allowed him to evolve. Marie-Rose shows us her work through a multitude of canvases, each more colourful than the next, where the imagination reigns. Each painting is a story summarized in the title of the work.
There is nothing that could explain or coldly decompose Marie-Rose Borrego's works. They exist by themselves and it is also to the sandstone of inspiration that they come to light like a breath, like a breath of the imagination, a vertigo of colour and a character as strange as living and endearing.
His style, although recognizable among thousands, is always in perpetual evolution, which makes his work so rich and tireless to look at as an open door to an imaginary world in which one can lose oneself at leisure.
After the first overview, we can see the many details that populate her canvas and bring it to life. It is in the image of Marie-Rose Borrego, alive and ready for all experiences, willing and a little original and who illustrates her motto perfectly.
Marie-Rose Borrego is an extraordinary and instinctive colorist. She uses primary colours; but on the canvas, they hardly remain "primary"! She instinctively mixes them together until she finds the tones that suit her. Its bright and particularly rhythmic colours harmonize with each other precisely, respond to each other and complement each other; large and small surfaces balance, respond to each other and combine infinitely.
