Poet, iconoclast, dreamer... Michel Guerini is a utopian artist. Graduated from the School of Graphic Arts, this training will enhance his mastery of drawing. The artist draws his inspiration from oriental arabesques and Light Art to create new frescoes. On a monochrome background, spirals stand out to contrast and awaken the pictorial power. The colour recovers its radiance: blue, indigo, purple... The spiral retraces and transmits an energy. Oil painting allows him to reshape the background and the gesture. He sketches bewitching and absorbent scrolls. A real optical game, these canvases are offered as true hieroglyphics. As if facing clouds, the gaze strives to recognize an identifiable form, to follow the wandering of the features, and to savour the taste of reverie... The discussion with the artist is enriching. His research focus is both in the living energy of the world, such as lightning for example. But it is also the physical energy of the writing hand: hence the inspiration of oriental writings.
