Born in the South West of France, the drawing came into Jacques’ life very early. After scientific studies and obtaining a "capes", he participated in his first painting competitions in the street, an activity that was a real training activity. Like a mason "at the foot of a wall" who is learning his trade. Little by little, Jacques became more and more interested in collages and this new practice even became his only means of pictorial expression. Magazine papers that Jacques does not hesitate to paint, beforehand, with indelible and transparent acrylic inks thanks to the use of a small roller. So these coloured papers are the raw material for the creation of future paintings. This collage activity is even similar, thanks to a vinyl glue, piece by piece of paper, to the construction and creation of a cathedral, stone by stone. It should be noted that gluing the papers on a support constitutes for Jacques a clever mixture of reflection, experience, sensation and chance, happy. An optimal experience of sorts! In recent years, many of Jacques’ collages have become the property of individuals or public institutions.
