MargÓ is a self-taught artist who first took a different professional path. Her fascination with color appeared as soon as she opened her first box of pencils. Since then, her eyes have constantly been attracted to bright colours. It is through her discovery of the big names such as Henri Matisse and André Derain, that a whole lively and optimistic pictorial universe has opened itself up to her.
Her paintings pay tribute to the woman, the common thread in all her work. But they also refer to her own life. MargÓ’s artistic approach is more inwards than outwards and it is in pursuit of a more colourful world...it’s her "joyous introspection" if you will. Her bright colours are only the strata of a past and a present that intertwine and play together as one with the light. Through this reflection, she discovers more about herself - a scar, a sort of crack that makes her precisely who she is.
