"I’ve been seeing the artist’s works for a long time. Wrong, the verb to cross is hardly appropriate because I have to say that I stop every time, I stop, I look, I take the pulse of the thing, mine, it seems to me that it fits. The e types, this French painter born in 1951, this ski mountaineer, this frenetic cyclonaut, this aerated adventurer and intoxicated by the air of the Alps, is tremendously talented. I have the impression that he is a talkative, logorrheic man but, having never met him, I am not sure. I feel him well as an inveterate creator, modelling strange, useless, absurd and fascinating sentences in silence, sowing his passage with traces, splashes, prints and sounds. There is his muse, Flo, his inspirer whom he tortures and sublimates unceasingly. This monstrous and sumptuous virtual protuberance of itself, this incarnated and crippled phantasm is a sublime discovery located at the improbable intersection between Jarry’s pataphysics and Egon Schiele’s tormented aesthetic quest." - DENYS-LOUIS COLAUX
