UNTITLED obviously refers to René Magritte's famous painting "La Trahison des images". His intention was to show that a pipe represented on a canvas, even if painted in the most realistic way, is only a drawing. It remains only an image of this object that cannot be stuffed or smoked, as one would do with a real pipe. With her text "This is not art", alina(lalala) once again tackles the question of art. What is art? What defines it? Who has the right to define what is or is not art, and in what capacity? Just because we don't see things, doesn't mean they don't exist ...
Acrylic, bomb, Posca and various drawings glued on cardboard, then on canvas.
The WORDS series is like alina(lalala): imperfectly assumed, cultivating its differences, spicy and funny. Laughter is an essential need for this artist, so, through simple messages and ironic phrases, she plays with words and the medium, voluntarily using media that have already lived and interpreting them in a modern context, writing a new story for them. Nothing is smoother, everything is imperfect ... By highlighting the beauty of these imperfections, she plays with - from - and - with - the falsity of our contemporary society. She questions the world in her own way, expressing her vision of our society, trying to capture the viewer's attention, to provoke him, to make him think and of course to make him smile, because art must always be a means of self-expression and joy.
