...I live and work in the Lyon region, but as a return to my roots I have just relocated his workshop in the heart of Provence. "Fed from the earliest age by the comic strip (Jack Kirby and the whole MARVEL team, the spirou newspaper, tintin and the Italian 13X18 formats, Blek the rock, Akim and other kings of the exploit...). He already knows that he must create images to live. The day he meets Phillipe Druillet’s albums and his universes populated by deformed beings, the fascination of this work already defines his graphic horizon. After the school career, it is the School of Fine Arts and the discovery of all expressions: painting, sculpture, music and cinema... it is above all the discovery of the pictorial "gesture", which will determine the purpose of his permanent research... Basquiat, Pollock and especially Bacon will always remain beacons. He finds this artistic vision of the world in "genre cinema" and its Italian masters (Bava, Argento...) who will legitimize its expression. Having become a "graphic designer", he took charge of several design studios. "I rediscovered the pleasure of drawing and painting a few years ago during a trip to Italy. The travel diaries will be my first "new works" to lead today to a real pictorial production perfectly in accordance with my graphic concerns and the themes born from a life experience. The combination of gesture, vivacity and urgency of the line and material remain the essential elements of my painting, without omitting a particular mal-treatment of the color palettes.
