Pierre Carret's painting is deeply inspired by the places where he lived: Caribbean, Bordeaux, and more recently the Arcachon basin. "It is an unconscious dive, a long descent at the bottom of an extraordinary mine (in reference to my Stéphanois origins) in which I dig and tirelessly draw, in search of an ideal landscape, a memory, where ancestors, ancestors, ancestors, ancestors, ancestors, ancestors, ancestors, ancestors, ancestors, Wild animals and joyful musicians communicate while waiting for the apocalypse.
