Painter since 1982, from Metz, I started my artistic life through Impressionism. In 1995, encouraged by a Cholet art gallery that asked me for miniature watercolours, I crossed France through the galleries that displayed my works for about ten years. At the same time, at the dawn of the 1990s, I felt the need to go further towards a form of abstraction that some people call lyrical. My teachers were Zao Wou Ki, Chu Teh Chun, Nicolas de Stael... Since then, the landscapes have been transformed into evocative masses and movements of colour. The mineral, the vegetable, the first state of the world as an organized chaos, the light, are at the heart of my work. From then on, my universe delights in technical approaches such as watercolour, ink, acrylic, oil, to build works where richness and colourful exuberance coexist with the essential stripping of black and white. The realization of record covers, theatre sets for a musical tale, complete collections for Longwy enamels, stained glass projects, mark my journey.
