Aurélie SALVAINGGrand travers

Born in 1971, Aurélie Salvaing trained as a lawyer and worked in the legal field for more than 15 years. In 2012, she decided to give up everything and devote herself exclusively to art and painting. She now lives and works in Montpellier.

In his work, the writings are the starting point, the genesis. They are glued, assembled, damaged with inks and watercolors. They develop the beginnings of an accidental architecture. Each element thus contributes by an impregnation phenomenon to the final result: the birth of the character. The same subject can well be approached several times the work remains singular as under the influence of the soil of its origins, of the amniotic baths, of the founding chaos. It weaves a link, a breadcrumb trail between the past and the present while being part of a contemporary vision of the human being.
