Nathalie Lemaitre

Nathalie Lemaitre is a French painter artist, born in 1965 in Tourcoing (North). She lives and works in Paris. Nathalie Lemaître studies graphic arts and painting at the Atelier Met de Penninghen - Atelier Julian- then at the ESAG in Paris. She became an independent graphic designer for a few years before devoting herself exclusively to her painter's work.
Nathalie's painting is deeply rooted in her time. Nathalie Lemaitre by her collage technique transforms existing images into new powerful compositions loaded with stories with a playful dimension and a touch of humor. The canvases are full of mystery, small secrets: a shadow behind a window, a word in a woman's hair, a mini dancer on a roof, etc. You will constantly discover new hidden messages.
Its compositions are dynamic and colorful, its approach in terms of collage is rich. The superposition of the papers and his work of discoloration and enhancement bring to the works an incomparable transparency and light. A certain influence of the great masters of chiaroscuro.
The works influenced by pop art, Street Art show originality and freshness. We find a sincere and powerful painting that tells you little stories. The work of the portrait at Nathalie Lemaitre is an inner journey. He is going to discover himself by expressing feelings, emotions. A work on intimate.
