Maude Ovize, an accomplished artist, has made her home in Lyon where she has been practicing her art since leaving the Beaux-Arts in Saint-Étienne. Her creativity is expressed through different series of works, which come together in the same idea of superposition, transparency and the passage from formlessness to form, creating a dialogue between the finished and the unfinished.
Four years ago, Maude began working on a series of paintings dedicated to water. The richness and forms that this theme can generate have allowed the artist to continue exploring new creative avenues. The fluidity of water, its unpredictability and its transparency are found in the material, the technique and the rendering. Constituting the image at the time of shooting allows the artist to reflect on the fragment and possible meanings. The image then becomes a space of possibilities where each look can get lost.
