After the sun has disappeared from the horizon on this summer day, a dimmed, almost spectral light remains, only the tangle of buildings, volumes of concrete, glass, granite reveals the full and vibrant body of the megalopolis Tokyo in a mysterious, wild and vital dimension.

Tokyo is past, present and future, through its transparencies and opacities.

After studying calligraphy and then at the Beaux-arts de Paris in the monumental painting studio of the painter Olivier Debré, more than thirty exhibitions since 1986 from Paris to New York via Moscow to the Musée des Arts décoratifs, then alongside Pierre Soulages in the exhibition "L’art chez soi" in 2005 and during the year of France in China where he exhibits in the Cité Interdite, Altone Mishino continues his research around a significant extrapolation of the sign and the painted trace.

A mix between gestural neo-abstraction and the oriental tradition of composition, a search for a minimalist essentiality of the "painted gesture". The confrontation between its abstract referents such as Robert Motherwel, Frantz Kline, Sam Francis or Pierre Soulages and the tradition of the Zen masters gives a singular pictorial expression where fulgurishness and immobility are trapped.

From February 2018 a new adventure begins with the collaboration with the Rauchfeld Gallery in Paris. News: New and second exhibition at the Rauchfeld gallery 22 rue de Seine Paris 6 from Wednesday 6 March to 26 March 2019, from Tuesday to Saturday from 14h to 19h, the opportunity to discover the latest works of the series grouped under the name "Dark paintings
