Julien Bottone
France
Confirmed artist
  • KAZoART artist since 2019
  • 40 works

Julien has always been fascinated by the work of Pierre Auguste Renoir, the recurring themes of femininity and sensuality in his work and the way he depicts these themes through his use of light and shade. Bottone is also a great fan of the sculpture of Constantin Brancusi. He admires the way he synthesises form and goes right to the essential. Julien claims that these two artists have been major inspirations behind his artistic style and have helped him find his true artistic vocation.

Bottone has developed his own graphic art style based on femininity and sensuality. His aim is to lead the spectator into a universe where beauty is presented as hope in a world which is more and more turned towards darkness. He wants to draw the viewer into being awed by the visual. Through this continual research and pursuit of beauty, his sensibility remains the sole instrument to conjure up and produce his works, either in painting or in sculpture or design. It is what guides each gesture, each choice, each intention.

It is through the combined notions of, framing, harmony, manipulation of materials, and the synthesis of colours and form, that he has forged his figurative style, which becomes more and more personal and continues to evolve around the recurrent theme of femininity and sensuality. This obsession guides him to find his place in the vast world of Contemporary Art, and allows the artist to add to it a personal contribution.
