This painting was one of my first on the subject of expressions of astonishment, a subject that inspired me from 2015 to 2018. Here I began to put the faces in dialogue, in discussion, with the aim of creating a communication in the work but also in front of the work with the spectators. The cry of Eduard Munch has always been an inspiration for me, for expressionism and for the actuality in which the work remains. This is also one of my aspirations, to create timeless works, works that always evoke resentment. Blue is one of my most used colours in my work. This colour shows all its depth and clarity. I use it a lot for my calligraphy on paper. It is a colour that remains neutral and does not distract us from the main subject. The color is worked in calligraphy, (ink and acrylic paint) on Japanese paper. This paper is cut out, and composed in collage on thick paper (canson).
