I work and live in New Aquitaine France After several years of work on painting paste and movements (1st solo exhibition in Paris in 1981) I focused my work on fluidity and transparencies, a visit to the Musée de l'Orangerie was the trigger. From 2006 I decided to amplify the play of transparencies and to play more with reflections and lights. My favourite support has therefore become synthetic glass (100 x 100 cm plates painted on both sides). In the manufacture of oil paints, I have substituted epoxy resin, cast on the support and into which I introduce inks and pigments. The surface is shiny, solid and has different thicknesses depending on the superposition of the colour films processed within the resin. Since mid-2015, with this experience on synthetic glass, the return to the canvas has naturally become a reality. The resin having proved its worth (paintings installed outside: Arcachon waterfront, alleys of Sarlat,...) I therefore use the same technique on canvas and wood. My experience on synthetic glass allows me to anticipate the effects produced, to be able to manage and control them. I introduce inks with water, alcohol, pigments into epoxy resin that I pour on my support (canvas or wood). I work with glue spatulas of different widths that allow me to stretch or even turn over my prepared colours. I draw my shapes inside the resin using different wooden sticks, in an imaginary calligraphy and always renewed from the space. My sources of inspiration are inspired by Nature in the broadest sense: cosmic, microscopic, earthly, aquatic, human. It's life that interests me. I propose a work in all shades of diaphanous films, hoping to touch the viewer, offering him all the poetry of play of shapes, colours and lights so that he weaves secret links with Nature and reconnects with his imagination, his humanity, his essence, his bias.
