Valérie Buffetaud was born in 1962 in Versailles, France. She lives and works in Paris and Haute-Provence, after having spent long periods in Tuscany. Painter and engraver, she also practiced sculpture, ceramics and photography. She has exhibited since 1988 in Europe, on the occasion of collective exhibitions (Geneva, Siena, Salzburg, Berlin ...) and personal exhibitions (Paris, Florence, Berlin, Luxembourg ...). Present in private collections (Europe, Japan, Australia, United States), she has been represented by Immaginaria arti visive gallery in Florence (Italy) since 2001 with which she has participated in numerous International Fairs.
Her keen interest in literature and music led her to collaborate with poets and to perform in public during multiple performances combining painting, music and poetry or theater. Several publications at Propos / 2éditions. Latest publication "Atmospheric landscapes" in the editions "I catalog Usher Arte" in 2019, with a text by Anne Dopffer. A documentary "Parcours" by Franck Moatti in 2011, retraces his journey.
Valérie Buffetaud's artistic approach is nourished by nature and conveyed by the strength of color and the vibration of matter.
