Red abstract painting with acrylics and aerosol, to continue to invent abstract landscapes. Catherine Maddens explored her contacts with the Trees and questioned the notion of contemporary shamanism. In developing this painting, she also had an experience of retro causality as Romuald Leterrier explains in his excellent book "Remembering the Future". By choice, the canvas is free, to adhere to the wall like a second skin, it can be stretched on a frame on request, without additional cost

Catherine Maddens was born in 1965 in Normandy. Her youth was marked by the Impressionists, an artistic movement much appreciated by her father, an amateur painter and sculptor, who passed on to her his love of painting. She lives in Paris. She has a degree in clinical psychology and initially thought of becoming an art therapist. She trained in Paris in graphic design and practiced this profession for 28 years, 16 of which were spent as a freelance artist at the Maison des Artistes. Her vocation as an artist, present since her adolescence, remains very present in her, and she paints when her work allows it. She realizes her dream from 2013, dedicating herself exclusively to Art. To share her love for abstract art, from 2012 to 2018, she gave monthly group painting classes to adults, to help them reconnect with their desire to create and the pleasure of painting. She channels this source energy to express the transcendent movements of Life and its potentialities, and embarks the audience in a sensitive and spiritual experience.
