Christine Barres has been passionate about art since she was a child, and it is quite natural that her passion has led to her profession.

For more than thirty years she has been painting with a knife large flat areas of colour on large formats. No matter what the theme, everything is a pretext for colour.

From her exhibitions in big cities such as New York, Shanghai, Abu Dhabi or Seoul, she has retained the energetic line of verticality, and has never stopped painting the urban world from an enchanting point of view. Today she turns to portraiture with the same ardour that characterises her.

Her essential elements are colour, rhythm and matter.
Her work is born from spontaneity, her paintings offer us a surge of colors, the impression is strong, and emanate a magical harmony and a great vigor.
