Always in search of the representation of the sea in its strength and movement, I wanted to give the idea of a marine show just by lines and waves.

Born in Toulouse in 1957, and graduated from the Applied Arts in 1979 in Paris, Maïlys began her career in the textile world. She left this world in 1981 for the world of tableware.

To this day, the artist pursues this last activity as an independent tableware designer. Since 2009, Maïlys combines "Applied Arts" and "Painting".

Too many constraints related to the industry have created a need to create more freely. She is in permanent research and her essential themes are those of strength, energy and movement. In her work, she puts all her creative strength and constantly moves towards new horizons.

She also likes to try new techniques such as wood engraving.
