It is a mixture of acrylic and oil to sublimate the woman and approach the technique of photographic portraiture.

"To contrast with the monochrome face, I imagined a textile pattern with warm colors.
This portrait represents my feelings at the arrival of winter: cold colors, low energy illustrated by the black and white, but still the need for comfort, softness, warm living spaces that make the charm of the season." Amélie

Amélie NOËL is a painter from Bordeaux. Self-taught painter, it is in the art world that she identifies herself and obtains her diploma in BTS Graphic Design. Her studies allow her to open up artistically and to find her way. A subtle mix between graphic design and figurative painting was born, giving rise to a highly appreciated artistic versatility. Amélie NOËL now collaborates with wallpaper and textile agencies. During her trip to Australia in 2020, Amélie developed her brushstrokes, giving all her time to creation. Tropical landscapes quickly become her center of interest and Asia influences her creations more and more. She lets herself be guided by the process of creation without knowing where she is going beforehand but in search of accuracy and balance, with a touch of poetry. Her aspiration for travel pushes her to explore all possibilities: panoramic wallpaper, painting, illustration, photography. A creativity sensitive to the representations of a naive idyllic world. "I am in search of my El Dorado. It is a struggle with my desires, my feelings. My palette naturally leans towards darker tones, the contrasts on my paintings are more important. This way I draw the eye to elements to bring out only the essential."
