A painter for more than 20 years, based in Brittany, with a journalistic background, Emmanuel Pajot has always found time to paint. Since 2012, he has been entirely dedicated to this activity. His paintings have been exhibited at the Art Club Gallery, Paris, Artop, Lille, the Oktopus Nice Gallery, but also at Guerilla Galeries, London and Cognac Art, and he has participated in numerous contemporary art fairs and exhibitions (Art 3G Bordeaux, Forbidden London, Art tentation Villefranche Sur Mer...). It has also signed a distribution contract in the United States.
It was in Rennes, his birthplace, that he had his first memories of painting. "My father reproduced works by great masters. One particularly marked me when I was a child: Women in Modigliani’s black tie. I had the right to realize the character’s lips. Today this canvas is hung in my workshop. "It was then the presence of the Rennes artistic community in the 1990s that allowed him to embark on this adventure.
Today Emmanuel Pajot’s paintings often represent a profusion of characters, writings, geometric shapes with bright and contrasting colours. They are inspired by Pop Art with influences from Street art and comics. "Each space is often occupied at the limit of saturation. I play with the abstract, I want the gaze to get lost and rambling. In my paintings, the depth can go beyond the retina. »
