The animal, the subject of the painting, unfolds grace and majesty on the canvas. The artist represented himself with his double. Naked, one sits on the giraffe’s back and watches the horizon, while the other hangs around the giraffe’s neck, in the middle of a "climb". Nudity as an illustration of their vulnerability, do the two women seek security on the back of this peaceful symbol whose stature commands respect? But what is the lookout observing with a serious look on her face? Is there a danger on the horizon? And does the climber’s ascent lead her to a safer position?

The presence of the ox-peak between the two nymphs also evokes a parasitism: Man, the agent that destroys life, the ultimate parasite of Nature? The very naive background of the painting, with a multitude of bushy vegetal motifs reminiscent of Aboriginal art, contrasts with the pictorial realism of the giraffe and the characters. A painting that lies between dreamlike and "magical realism".

His imagination is inspired by the works of great Latin American writers such as Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Alejo Carpentier, where nature often plays a major role.

This "magical realism" inspires him to create figurative, colourful and luminous canvases in which characters are represented in a fantasized nature, surrounded by a whole friendly or threatening bestiary. The painter often places the human silhouette she masters best, her image, in order to play with our perceptions and develop a lush pictorial language. Animality is the centerpiece of a curiosity cabinet where the ancestral feelings of the psyche are expressed: fear, anger, laughter...
