During the Russian civil war, revolutionary socialists organized an assassination attempt against Lenin on August 30, 1918, when Lenin visited the Mihelson factory in Moscow. When he left the building to return to his vehicle, Fanny Kaplan called him. When Lenin turns to her, she fires three shots. One of the bullets passes through Lenin’s coat, the other two hit him in the left shoulder and lung. Lenin returns to his apartments in the Kremlin. He fears another attack against him and refuses to leave the Kremlin security for treatment. Doctors who arrived to treat him declared themselves unable to remove the bullets outside a hospital. However, he survived. Kaplan was arrested and interrogated by the Cheka. She says,"My name is Fanny Kaplan. I shot Lenin today. I did it voluntarily. I won’t say where the gun came from. I had been determined to kill Lenin for a long time. I consider him a traitor to the Revolution. I was exiled to Akatui for participating in the Tsar’s attempted murder in Kiev. I spent seven years there working hard. I was released after the Revolution. I was in favour of the constituent assembly and I still am. "His weapon was supplied by Boris Savinkov. Fanny Kaplan was executed without trial on September 3, 1918. She was burned in the Cheka courtyard after being beaten to death. Before she died, she said: "I shot Lenin because I consider him a traitor to socialism and because his existence discredits socialism. I have no reservations about the Samara government and the fight against Germany alongside the Allies. "A few days later, Grigori Petrovski, People’s Commissioner for the Interior, encouraged executions and said:"It is high time to put an end to all this softness and sentimentality. "On September 5, the Council of People’s Commissioners issued the decree formalizing red terror;

My taste for the world of images is very early on, whether it is through self-taught drawing or the making of short family films. However, it was quite late that I decided to devote myself to painting by enrolling at the Academy of Fine Arts in Binche (Belgium). I am now in my sixth year. This journey allowed me to experiment with various techniques (charcoal, pastel, acrylic...) to finally reach the one that suits me best and that I now practice exclusively: oil painting. Indeed, this technique maintains a particular relationship with time. My painting is rather figurative. The portrait occupies an important place in it. I paint mostly enigmatic faces, marked by a certain ambiguity that I try to pierce and transcribe. part of my creative process consists in looking for images that provoke an emotion ,photos are enough for me ,I am simply looking for a pose or an expression that touches me.landscapes are also privileged, they are mostly imaginary landscapes. Their palette is dominated by dark, sometimes monochrome, colours. However, among this dominant, there is always a hint of light that somehow gives direction to the gaze.
