Café, la nuit

Self-taught, MAC has been painting since his childhood. Living in England since 2004, MAC has worked as a gallery owner and custom-framer. He has also run painting courses for adults and children and exhibited widely both in England and France. During his time in England, he has also produced murals for restaurants and private homes. 

He is mainly inspired by city scenes, especially French Architecture with its ornate facades, the faded beauty of old restaurants and buildings, reflections in windows and the magical forms created by the lights of the city at night. 

MAC paints in oils on canvas, a technique that enables him to create subtle and interesting effects. Recreating all the different lights, nuances and textures is a challenge he has mastered with success.
