This self-portrait shows the artist sitting in the middle of three black panthers, in the middle of the jungle, a bird on his shoulder. She seems to be complicit with the feline who is lying in the centre, as if she was confiding something to him. The animals frame this woman, as if they were protecting her, even if the panther to the right of the painting growls, exasperated by the bird that seems to taunt her. This work speaks of a lost Eden, a desire for fraternity and communion with nature that no longer exists.
