I am a "modern figurative" painter who lives and works in the Arcachon basin. My themes are landscapes, cities and sails of the world. I mainly use oil, on classic supports. The knife remains my favourite tool, which allows me to work on large impastoes of pure colours directly on the canvas. How many cities are there in my cities? How many faces are buried in these strange buildings that are tangling and searching for each other? I have remembered cities that I have been through the happy madness that drives them. Dripping down with bright colours and materials, they float on secret waters that underline both the symmetry of the whole and its impossibility to reproduce such extravagance... The two great technical qualities that all amateurs seek in painting are drawing and colour, and it is on these two elements that my reputation has been built. I invite you to contemplate "my" cities and landscapes and to enter the canvases for a moment of reflection on our complex world.
