New & Noteworthy Artist
For the past fifteen years, Miguel Moran has been strolling with his camera in European stations and has been collecting moments of life there which he then transcribed in his very realistic paintings. His canvases are then titled from the place, the date and time of the original shooting and turn into "history pages".
Self -taught artist, photographer and painter, Miguel Moran made his first exhibition during "Brussels 2000: European Capital of Culture". The press is interested in him, articles are devoted to him in the biggest Belgian media, he then gained the confidence of the galleries, and in stride wins several competitions such as that of the Belgian Senate twice or a selection for a Expo to the SMAK (Ghent Museum of Contemporary Art).
Today through digital platforms, he sells his works internationally. Miguel Moran is an urban voyeur. Observer of his time, he is looking for the present time. What better place to observe its fellow men in their diversity than the metro, where this condensed of humanity is found and mixes.
