After holding her gallery workshop in Old Lille from 1998 to 2009, Christiane Rancelot now works on large formats near Bordeaux. She can now be seen in France and Florida in various exhibitions, art fairs and among art professionals.
Coming from a family in the North of France, she lived her childhood and practiced drawing surrounded by her paternal grandfather’s sculptures. As an adult, it is at the Beaux Arts and in contact with the associative and artistic circles of Lille that she enriches her knowledge in the artistic field.
After many years of practice of drawing from living models, then the passage obliged by the abstraction of good tone in the 80s, she returned to figuration with a work on the human, on the passing time and on the place of man through the centuries and technological progress. His oils immerse us in a collective memory where we can find some reference to simple beauty.
