Linda was born in Aalst (Belgium), moved to Brussels where she studied at the VUB and obtained a Master's degree in psychology. But her interest in art remained and about twenty years later, she decided to do it properly. She started a formal training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Liedekerke (Belgium) where she obtained her certificate in drawing and painting and discovered her passion for abstract art. She then explored art on her own, complemented by advanced art workshops.
Linda Coppens lives and works almost all year round in her studio in Spain. His abstract paintings, rich in textures, colourful and vibrant, are the result of exploration and experimentation. They are inspired by life itself. She is fascinated by the human spirit with all its complex mysteries and the immense beauty of nature.
His work focuses on the emergence of positive and harmonious forces to balance the increasingly frenetic world in which we live. His mission is to create paintings that offer a moment of pause, inspiration and resurgence. Linda Coppens' works are extremely stratified. She mixes media such as acrylic paints, pencils, pencils, pencils, pencils, markers, etc. brought on the canvas or panel with all kinds of tools. It obscures any tangible reference point, so that the viewer discovers a new meaning to his work.
At the beginning of her life, Linda Coppens was still scribbling and drawing, but becoming an artist was not really an option in a family with no artistic background.
For her, being an artist means continually evolving, seeking and finding her way as she creates. It is a question of experimenting and continuing to experiment in order to evolve and be able to create works that surprise him.
