Olivier Desvaux was born on May 12, 1982 in Rouen (France).
After a year in applied arts at the Estienne school in Paris, Olivier entered the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Paris. He graduated in 2006.
Olivier is a member of the Taylor Foundation.
Olivier was appointed Official Painter of the Navy in 2018.

In 2009, Olivier painted oil paintings on commission from Jacques Garcia to decorate the Baldachin Suite of the Mamounia in Marrakech.
In 2011, he was selected to propose a painted decoration project for the apse, nave and arcades of the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore (classified as a historical monument) in Bonifacio.
As part of the artistic 1%, Olivier will create a decoration for the Tréport media library in 2013 and
in 2018 a decoration for the multi reception centre of Grand Couronne.
