Born in 1981 in Agen.
The search for "home", for his "native country" is a subject he tackles on a recurring basis. These concerns most likely stem from the fact that his family has an immigrant background. Indeed, his paternal grandparents came from Vietnam.
As a traveller, his painting is inspired by his experiences, memories of his peregrinations and encounters. Thus, he often paints those close to him, questioning the ambivalence of human relationships, the tensions that push us in contradictory directions, the distances that exist between the world we come from and the one we are heading towards, in search of a balance in order to exist in the midst of others, to build his singularity under their gaze.
For him, it is a question of taking a step back from an image for which he feels empathy and of walking freely between introspection and confrontation with reality or with the public, thus giving his intimate work a character that tends towards the universal. Painting then becomes the possibility of continuing to travel.
