In the heart of a forest clearing stand the proud, magnificent foxgloves. They dance in the grasses, blooming with the leaves of the tall trees. An impression of fullness, of enchantment slips into the forest. This painting will bring life, freshness and joy to a room. The artist uses extra fine oil paints on high quality linen canvas.

The work is then varnished to protect it. A hanging system is provided at the back of this dyptic (two canvases of 60 x 120) which will allow its installation on the wall.

Landscapes, still lifes and nudes: these are the themes dear to Brigitte Di Scala. Without prior photographic support, she wants to immerse us in a dreamlike realm that allows her to translate her emotions on canvas and share them with the world.

Her purpose: to be a painter

Born in 1959, the artist Brigitte Di Scala trained for a year in the studio of painter K. Rezvanian, then turned to the Institute of Decorative Arts in Strasbourg where she studied for 3 years. Today, she lives and works in Mundolsheim near Strasbourg. Being a painter for Brigitte Di Scala was the obvious choice. Like most children, she drew; the difference with Brigitte was that she never stopped.

As she likes to say, "at the beginning, yes, there is a third of talent, then a third of work, but the most important is the remaining third - love“. For about thirty years now, she has been exhibiting her paintings in France and abroad, winning numerous awards and benefits from a Drouot rating.

The impressionist way

Brigitte Di Scala draws her inspiration from everywhere - mainly from nature, from her childhood memories, from the face of a person that tells a story. The wild flowers that she paints tirelessly in a very personal style, ispired by impressionism, symbolize a sense of freedom and joy of living.
