Lucas Alonso Nobauer studied Fine Arts at the University of La Laguna in Spain. He specialized in contemporary art and sculpture. After an exciting personal research on painting techniques, and in-depth studies on the work of the great masters, he found his own artistic language.
Working mainly with oil paint, he creates simple scenes of life and soothing landscapes. Nature is always present and comforting. He uses Art as a sophisticated language both technically (in the study of composition, drawing, color) and conceptually, thus contributing to a society with more ethical references.
His current work is dedicated to women: "ETHICS AS PLASTIC POETRY". True women, naked, direct and sure, in their purest integrity, dissociating them from submission and fragility. The woman is far from being an object of simple desire and pleasure, she is represented sure of herself in order to highlight her psychological strength and her purity. This technique is done with oil paint on linen canvas. This slow and ancient technique allows for the superimposition of shades of color mixed with linen oil. The scenes then appear real, revealing the volumes of the body, playing with the nuances of colors, the lines of the drawing, the textures.
