This painting is an evocation of love. The beauty of women and the attraction of men. Her husband is in a computer and calls her "my darling".

Another man is looking at this woman with envy. Human relationships often revolve around this idea.

Men and women are attracted to each other. This is the genesis of being human. If the attraction were not so strong, the human world would be empty. The earth would wander without men.

Franck ALAGNA was born on March 7, 1964 in Aix-en-Provence.

During his childhood, he looked with enthusiasm at his father's paintings. He was his hero. He made figurative orientalist paintings. Then, when he was ten years old, he went to visit the Cézanne studio in Aix-en-Provence during a school trip. He was fascinated by this outing. He remembers his admiration for the painter but also his embarrassment. He felt like he was going home. It was as if he had gone out and someone was coming into his house without him knowing.

A few years later, he met his friend's grandfather, Martin Masson. His grandfather, André Masson, painted in his garden in Le Tholonet, opposite the Sainte Victoire. Then his grandson Martin showed him the paintings they had in the house. He was fascinated and disturbed by his paintings. He found these paintings very strange. It was the catalyst for his questioning of art. At the age of twenty, he enrolled in the fine arts school in Aix-en-Provence. He did two years of training.

In 1987, at the age of twenty-three, he started his own photography business, another of his passions. After that, he went back to painting in 2002. He needed to learn, and he believes that his learning was real at that time. He started doing reproductions of the great impressionist masters. He needed to learn the mixing of colors with oil, to learn texture, coloring shadows, framing. He started to remake paintings of Edouard Manet. Then he made reproductions of Renoir, Pissarro, Monet, Van Gogh, Cézanne.

In 2007, he started to paint his own paintings which were very close to photography. He made still life paintings, very classical. In 2010 he met a painter Jérôme Fonchain. They talked about art. They made each other know painters. They had very constructive exchanges.

Then, his work evolved. He thought that integrating small squares like "pixels" could give interesting things. The advantage with this technique is that you can go from impressionism to abstract painting. You can create scenes from life but also very decorative paintings. If possible make more "political" paintings. For example, the idea he has at the moment is to make a painting that denounces the violence that some men do to women.
