Born in Paris in 1985, Camille d'Alençon graduated in sculpture applied to synthetic materials from the Olivier de Serre School in 2006 and in printed image from the Arts-Décoratifs in 2009.
The artist developed her oil painting technique as a self-taught artist by creating portraits, after having familiarized herself with numerous engraving, sculpture and molding techniques.
The immediacy of painting allows her to move from one subject to another, she presents the viewer with non-places such as city rooftops, the Rungis market, the Parisian ring road, gestures, postures in stolen moments.
This is how, between the fascinating, the impertinent, the unusual, the beautiful, the strange, the improbable, we walk from the dead animals to the ring road. To be always at the limit, to provoke, not to disturb, but to de-dramatize.
