Wild silk / support / pigments for silk, acrylic, cotton thread.
Inspired by Julio Cortázar's poem, "Black and Ten" is a series of medium-sized paintings that is a research on the expressive capacities of the color black. How black captures all the colors and brings them into relief. All nature is subject to transformation, all research is also.
To go beyond, I ask "only" to impregnate myself. This transformation is a quest of each one.
The trace is the key notion which holds together my purpose in painting. First of all the traces in the memory which create configurations of the remainders of the lived moments, the frequented places, the met faces, the nature.... Then the trace as drawn line, as line, as chromatic element or plastic fragment.
Mixed technique on silk, pigments, acrylic, sewing with cotton thread.
