OMICHLI is a monochrome photographic series in which the mountain is explored as a timeless place, at the borders of another reality.

The absence of colors allows to go to the essential, the landscapes are no longer places, mountains listed, but emotions.

The reading is more direct, more brutal too, nature reveals itself at last, flirts with contrasts, oscillates between power and fragility, strength and serenity. It is this balance of power between Man and Nature that is exposed here.

The ridges and summits are revealed in a ballet of light and shadow, the places are revealed, out of time, out of Man.

Karine Coll is a multi-talented art photographer. Specialized in monochrome photography, she is particularly fond of working on the body but also on nature and the landscapes that surround her.

For her, Black and White is an obvious choice, capable of reaching the very essence of beings but also of places because it brings this timeless dimension to the bodies, to the photographed landscapes, once rid of their colors they deliver a deeper message, a more direct reading, also more brutal. The eye is not distracted by multiple information, the contact is direct, frontal, it is this aspect of things that she likes.

Since 2020, she has successfully participated in numerous national and international photography competitions. Karine's work has received numerous international awards.

The most recent exhibition took place in September at the Salon Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris with a silver medal from the guest jury.
