Régis Bodinier
France
Confirmed artist
  • KAZoART artist since 2017
  • 68 works

Régis Bodinier was born in 1972 in France. A former student of the École des Beaux-Arts, he first worked as a graphic designer, then as artistic director in publishing and advertising before getting involved in the artistic field through photography but also painting.

Between 2012 and 2017, he lives and works in Beijing. He devoted these five years to photographing the urban environment, in particular the traces left by time and the changes in Chinese culture, heritage and society... His photographic work, which has been exhibited many times in China, evokes the last moments of neighbourhoods before their destruction or transformation, changes in lifestyle, the place of old and new generations in villages that are desertified... He raises the question of the future of Chinese society in the face of galloping development.
