Extract the human from matter or dissolve the human from matter. Seek the primary emotion, tirelessly crush the fundamental human questions. Work only on instinct... in all sincerity. But what comes out of this process does not impose anything, I hope that my intentions will be erased and leave room for everyone’s feelings. I photograph the accidental forms of nature and the urban environment. From the mixture of these images, either with each other or with portraits and drawings, my paintings are born. Roots, barks, old walls, stones, stains, etc., whose naturalness and raw side I keep, become as many faces, anthropomorphic forms, expressive landscapes. Paraeidolia and/or accident are the triggering factors of my work. From these reworked and redesigned materials, by pulling the thread, I reveal, as a modest alchemist, the images born of my imagination. I claim a work resulting from photography and aesthetically closer to painting, drawing, engraving. The matt support used still helps this perception. I like this no man’s land which wants to erase technique in favour of emotion with a deliberate ambiguity about its nature.
