Work from the series: "The Relaxed Body" The body is presented as an image that is social, conscious and unconscious, commercial, manipulated, stereotyped, codified... that each of us tries to hold "upright", as straight as possible, without any sign of apparent fragility, in representation. Hanicka takes the side of revealing it free of all code and system, released, abandoned, ... as it is lived in intimacy, and we find it so much more beautiful and touching in its truth!

  • KAZoART artist since 2015

Author and director of the theatre company Entr’Actes for 15 years, she started working in photography in 2007, as a self-taught artist. Her main spearhead being the fight against discrimination, it is quite naturally that she focuses her photographic work on the social problems of the anonymous and the abandoned; she is inspired by the contemporary world and encounters with the people and territories on which she works: people with disabilities, neighbourhood residents, migrants, orphans, lambda people who would like to use this medium of communication through images to express themselves. Her reports are imbued with reality and poetry, intimacy and politics, art and photojournalism, and she has had several exhibitions to her credit, including "Corps de migrants" at the Creusot Ecomuseum, which was the subject of a conference at the Musée national de l’histoire de l’immigration in Paris, and "La voie du corps", on the sexual and emotional life of people with multiple disabilities. Very committed, she uses her art to put it first and foremost at the service of others and is a member of the international press platform Hans Lucas and Women Photographers.
