"Lines of Flight" is a photographic creative work resulting from a questioning on the body and space, and a reflection on a public space in constant mutation. Delphine Perrin wanted to invest the city’s spaces thanks to the complicity of high-performance dancers, and to observe the interaction between body and landscape that takes place in this meeting. She wishes to question urban landscapes, by introducing the presence of a human figure, treated as a component of architecture or as a constituent element of the space she crosses. In this space in the presence of a body, through the modifications of the invested landscape and the relationship of the body to the environment, she tried to keep a photographic trace of this interaction and exchange, thus opening an off-site space, leading to consider landscapes differently.

"My purpose is the displacement of the gaze: by putting a presence in a place or landscape into a situation, giving a different perspective and allowing a poetic space to emerge. I try to compose images where a tiny detail can turn perception upside down, and, in a kind of flickering, let doubt arise, free the mind of the known and thus create this tipping point where strangeness appears. I like the idea of several images coexisting in one, where our mental images meet the photographic image, in the illusion of a double reality. My work thus takes the form of series, stories tending to abstraction or more narrative compositions, like so many fictions that question our relationship to the space around us." Delphine Perrin

Delphine Perrin has a university degree in Philosophy and then in Art History. She has always developed a cross-fertilization of interests in dance and photography, practicing or experimenting these two artistic fields in turn or simultaneously. Since 1995, she has been engaged in a plastic reflection on dance and movement, presenting her work in group and solo exhibitions.

Today, as a freelance photographer based in Angers, his photographic work takes the form of series, but the questions of the body and landscape remain anchored in the heart of the image. Delphine Perrin attaches great importance to the composition of the image; the strong lines of a landscape are a source of inspiration. According to her, the photographic gaze is above all an instinctive way to capture things, to fix a visual sensation and to question the reality of perception.

In 2009, she decided to devote herself to her artistic activity as a visual photographer, while at the same time conducting her own artistic research and commissioning. She regularly collaborates with the press, cinema and cultural structures on shows and events.
