From my first pictures as a simple amateur until today, I have always made the initial “encounter” the common thread of my work. Photographing is to go towards “the other”, to know him, to understand him. To photograph is to connect with people.
For me, photography is a relay between my eye and people, my eye and the world. It allows me to transcribe a feeling, a detail that could have escaped if left to be seen by the naked eye. As a self-taught artist, I learned quickly, with perfection being the objective of each of my shots, the fusion of quality and emotion. I like people to understand directly what I wanted to put forward. I am looking for the exact light, sharpness and timing that will make the image unique.
2006 marks an important milestone for me, with the beginning of my involvement with "Fragil", an association magazine (Culture and Society), where I became the vice president in 2011. This brought about new encounters wherein I met people from all walks of life. This has led to has opened up my photography to new creative spaces. But it is always the individual who remains at the heart of my thoughts and work.
