During the summer heat wave, even liquid crystals seem to want to trade the city for the seaside, proof of this is the atypical form that emerges from their observation. To the west, the drops of liquid crystal gather to form a bed of rocks that stand up, as best they can, to this turbulent nematic sea. The mesomorphic crystal spreads in waves and, like a giant swell breaking on the coast, crashes with violence and intensity. The view is breathtaking. This sea of a thousand and one shades overflows with light, the polydispersed emulsion with its golden colours reveals its most ferocious reflections.
Do we have access to the last moments of life of these liquid crystal drops or will they still be able to resist the invader? It is up to us to imagine the outcome.
